Wooden railings

Wooden balusters and posts are one of the most important elements of wooden railings. It is the railing that gives the stairs their full charm and at the same time protects them from falling out. Balusters can be mounted directly on the steps, in solid stringers (where the step is recessed in the stringer), or on the bottom bar fixed between the posts just above the steps. The handrail is attached on the upper part of balusters and between the wooden posts. The post, in addition to its decorative function, is also largely responsible for supporting the entire wooden railing. That is why when mounting the posts, it is important to ensure that they are securely fastened so that the railing is stable. Our stair posts are made in three options of wood thickness:  about 6 x 6, 8 x 8 and 10 x 10 cm (2.3 x 2.3, 3.1 x 3.1 and 3.9 x 3.9 inches). The height of the posts is approximately 112–115 cm (44–45 inches, depending on the pattern). Most often, 8 x 8 or 10 x 10 cm posts are used. This is primarily due to the appearance, as well as the greater stability of the entire railing. Our posts are made of glued laminated timber – the same as is used to make stair steps and risers. We manufacture handrails and bottom railings in various designs and dimensions. Our basic offer includes handrails for railings, measuring approximately 45 x 60 mm (height x width, 17.7 x 23.6 inches) or 60 x 60 mm (23.6 x 23.6 inches). All our wooden products are prepared for varnishing. At your request, we can varnish or stain the wooden railing with a colour of your choice.
